This is the first post of this blog. These are the things that I'm thinking about. Next week (next Tuesday, the 4th of December) I'm flying to Chile and staying there for about 10 weeks.

Thin shoes - the reason for the name is given by Ivor Cutler, late great poet and singer.

Thin shoes tell
us
more about
the
world
we live
in than
thick ones.

'Shoes' from A Flat Man, Trgram Press 1977.

This blog will hopefully continue long after the Chilean adventure - telling tales about the world we live in, the ordinary and the extraordinary. Chile is a good place to start. Next post sometime after landing. Until then.
